The project is the second in a number of planned wind power projects. Since 2009, the company operates a wind farm in Skutskär with five works and a production of 30 GWh / year. The wind farm is located in Sundsvall municipality (SE2) about 25 kilometers northwest of Sundsvall/Timrå. The wind turbines will be situated between 300 – 390 meters above sea level in forest areas with good wind conditions and relatively few inhabitants. The project was started by Eolus in 2009. The permit application was submitted in 2011. The wind farm connects to the local utility Skellefteå Krafts' 152 kV grid via a transformer station situated in the east part of the site.
